Our services collect data without our explicit permission. The boundaries we draw in real life often don't apply to the digital world, where our phones follow us to the bathroom, our boss can reach us outside the office, and search engines track our interests. And often the technology around us reflects and amplifies the bias and inequality we work so hard to eradicate in real life.
